Already Caring for a Loved One? You May Qualify to Become a Paid Caregiver.

Many parents, relatives, and family caregivers are already providing daily support for a child, adult, senior, or loved one with special needs, disabilities, or long-term care needs. Galeron Consulting Agency helps families understand whether they may qualify for approved home care, waiver services, caregiver support, or registry-based care in Pennsylvania.

Home Care Agency & Registry

Galeron Is Both a Home Care Agency and a Home Care Registry

We provide support through both our home care agency and home care registry model, giving families options based on eligibility, authorization, and program requirements.

Home Care Agency

As a licensed home care agency, Galeron employs caregivers directly and manages all compliance, training, scheduling, and oversight requirements under Pennsylvania law.

Home Care Registry

As a home care registry, Galeron connects participants with independent caregivers — including eligible family members — while supporting the authorization and documentation process.

Eligibility

Who May Qualify?

The following individuals may be eligible to become an approved caregiver through Pennsylvania waiver programs, depending on the program, authorization, and individual circumstances:

  • Parents caring for children with special needs
  • Adult children caring for aging parents
  • Relatives caring for individuals with disabilities
  • Families already providing daily support at home
  • Caregivers seeking to become approved through an agency or registry model
Requirements

Important Requirements

Approval as a paid caregiver depends on meeting all program, authorization, and onboarding requirements:

  • Participant must qualify for an approved Pennsylvania program or waiver
  • Services must be authorized through the proper program, MCO, Supports Coordinator, Service Coordinator, or service plan
  • Caregiver must complete onboarding, training, documentation, and background requirements
  • Payment is not guaranteed until eligibility, authorization, and caregiver approval are confirmed
  • Rules may vary by ODP, OLTL, CHC, MCO, and individual service plan

Important Disclaimer: Galeron Consulting Agency does not guarantee eligibility, caregiver approval, service authorization, or payment. Approval depends on Pennsylvania program rules, Medicaid waiver eligibility, managed care organization requirements, service coordinator authorization, participant needs, and completion of all required onboarding steps.
